I really wanted the Original Cast Recording performed in the 70's and 80's. It was a recent recording performed by the children and Grandchildren of the original Cast. The music of Ipi Ntombi Musical was excellent. However, It was not the original Cast Recording stated by the advertisement.
Have been looking for this sound track since I saw the play in South Africa back in the early 70's.THANKS.GOOD SOUND TRACK- NEW as advertised.
There is a reason why this Musical has been so popular for all these years and listening to this cd will explain why. The Best tracks on this CD make up for all the rest. On the whole a pretty good buy.
Not at all the same or as good as the original cast recording.from the 70's
The topic is of great interest to those who have visited or would like to visit South Africa and enjoy the catchy musical style of the African people. Wonderful music - new rendition of previously seen musical with updates.
